LP has helped targeted children to make additional progress and for some to meet GLD at the end of the key stage.

Data. A most recent example – the children in the lowest attaining group for RWI were not making swift enough progress so we referred back to LP and included auditory and visual memory work and the children have made rapid progress.

LP has had a clear and positive impact on our attainment data. A high majority of children are now assessed as having ‘met’ the expected developmental milestones for their age. This is a significant shift from previous years, where more children remained below expected levels for longer.

Launchpad assessments have already informed predicted data outcomes for ELGs and phonics progress, helping us identify pupils at risk of not meeting benchmarks early in the year and adjust provision accordingly. We certainly saw an impact in the first few years of using LP. GLD went from 23% to 48% and then up to 65% in the most recent years. This is because we can close gaps and identify children who are at risk.

Attainment – LP has had a clear and measurable impact on our attainment data. We have seen a notable increase in the number of children achieving a GLD at the end of Reception and improved outcomes in the Yr. 1 PSC. We strongly believe that without LP’s structured, developmental approach, this level of improvement in outcomes would not have been possible.

We seen an 8% improvement on GLD this year (2024) compared to last year.

The difference is in the precision of what we are targeting. GLD result 2023-2024 (before Launchpad) – 65% GLD. GLD result 2024-2025 (using Launchpad) – 73% GLD.

The impact of LP ensured we participated in the KS2 training which was on our School development Plan this year.

LP is implemented fully in EYFS to ensure that best practice is fully delivered to all the children so that early pre-reading and writing skills are developed.

We realised very quickly that there was a group of children whose auditory memory was actually the barrier. Rather than doing any blending interventions, we stopped and took the time to put the auditory memory provision in place first. After blending interventions, children flew! It was amazing to see the pace of progress for this group and this has impacted on their early writing outcomes.

The clear progression and granular steps mean that our planning for children with SEND is more precise and targeted. We use the small steps for their learning journeys, which is proving to be very successful in developing their early writing skills.
