We have used Launchpad to support heavily in pre phonics, following the steps within visual discrimination building from simple silhouettes to silhouettes/shapes of words linked to phonic knowledge. By using matching pairs and snap our children have really engaged. We have referred to Launchpad frequently to support our highest needs, the small steps are excellent for identification & levels of progression. LP has helped to close the gaps in the foundation years that we had previously seen. This is because the steps are so structured that the planning and activities are more progressive.

Working below ARE / SEND & Yr. 1 – We use LP to identify and plan next steps for our nursery and reception children. We also find it useful for our SEND children and those in year 1 that are not meeting EYFS goals. Our Speech and language, PSED and literacy data have all increased compared to previous years.

Within weeks of using the LP, we’ve seen rapid progress from all of the children. LP has completely transformed our understanding and teaching of pre phonics skills across EYFS.

LP has improved attainment data, as staff can more effectively identify gaps/needs and plan more specifically for these, positively impacting on progress.
